Do you plan on overclocking? Or are you just going to do it in a year or two to get longevity out of the processor?

Either way, I actually recommend the Corsair H100i V2. It's an AIO (all in one) liquid CPU cooler. Very, very, very simple to install.

previous gen (maxwell) gigabyte cards clocked higher than evga cards, both under gpuboost & manual overclocks

evga customer support is way better though

no giant differences, i just like gigabyte cards. they tend to be cooler/quieter, too

I'd suggest the FTW over the G1

Both good cards, but yes change out the heatsink (that's for itx builds) and get an all in one or better air cooler

really i just like the gigabyte cooler
it's quieter and same temps if not better
g1 is also the top binned i think other than the literal "gauntlet" cards or w/e so you don't have to worry about ftw / classified / kingpin etc binning methods

The only ones that really get binned on evga are the classy/kingpins unless they started including the FTW.

FTW can technically oc better but it all boils down to the chip etc.

Is it the highest binned in the 1000 series? I know it is among the 900s, but hadn't heard much concerning 1000s.

Any recommendations on a different cooler?

I don't want liquid cooling because I don't know enough about it tbh.

Also, I don't think I'd upgrade for a few years.

Might as well get the Cryorig H7. If you can't wait till it's in stock somewhere...then get the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Get the h110i instead of that cryorig

My 6600k sits at 35c max. Highest I've seen it is 41

I dunno, maybe he should get a NZXT Kraken x61, to go with the case. :)

Okay so I guess this is what I've settled on.

Iso last round of input & suggestions.

Are all of these parts compatible with one another?

Do I need to buy anything else to physically build this and have it running? (aside from OS, will be getting Windows 10 probably)

I'd get a higher quality HDD for longevity's sake but its not critical
