Plug the monitor to your gpu, not mobo.

Monitor will post asking you to plug it into gpu instead if u do this.

Unplug all cables from pc. Hold down power button 15 seconds and then plug everything back in

Re-seat the RAM, and the GPU. A lot of times the expansion and contraction of a computer being on for a while then, off for a while can break the contact, in the RAM or GPU slots.

There's a million other things it could also be, but if you or anyone else in your home, truly did nothing else but have the comp on, then have it off...this sounds like the most likely cause.

/e You don't need to post twice.

My apologies for 2 posts.. thank you for this advice i have wiggled everything a bit but i will re seat everything and try again

Any advice? Computer is 2 yrs old and ive only added ram sticks to it

You didn't just "recently" add RAM sticks to it, did you?

/e When I say recently, I mean about the time this problem occurred.
