I had to RMA an ASUS motherboard once. I bought it new, had the receipt, and even then it was trully very hard.
I even had to agree, that if anything happened to the motherboard, during return shipping, that I would be responsible.
In other words, they would hold me responsible for any damage that UPS, or FedEX would do to the package.

I assume they have gotten ripped off so many times, they just decided to get serious.

/ee Also, Newegg U.S would never sell a motherboard with a broken fan header. The ONLY products they sell, other than new, are Open Box or Refurbished.
IMO, never buy a used motherboard. Everything in your computer runs off the motherboard.
