the 480 and 980 can sli/crossfire for future ability to upgrade the 1060 cannot. in 2 years you can slap another 480/980 in there for like $100

also something to consider...

And the OP has stated his monitor in this thread?

And no I don't agree with you at all actually.

Why would you only care about GPU performance and be OK with med/high settings if you don't have a higher FPS monitor? Doesn't make sense. Sounds to me like he wants to get the highest FPS possible within a certain GPU power range.

It's a help thread and your post only restated what I had already said and disagreed with something I didn't even say (Battlefield 4).

Stop being such a confrontational elitist you dweeb.

How am I being an elitist? You're the only retard that posted 144 in here. Funny story I've used 980s hell even an 860m and it played bf4 60 frames on medium. Kinda tired of seeing you post to buy 1070s when the 980 ti according to you is cheaper and it performs the same. Go back to trading forums where you belong.

Are you retarded or something? You're still talking about Battlefield 4 when I didn't even mention it in my initial comment. When did/do I tell people to get 1070s? I got a 980 Ti myself just the other day, and they do perform on average only ~7% worse than a 1070 at $75+ cheaper.

You're a '14 spawn so either you're 5 years late to jsp or you're a multi. Quit runnin' your mouth nerd.

All of those will murder LoL, will do decent on Overwatch, and will likely do just OK on Battlefield 1. I'd say get a 1060 or 480. The differences are so negligible that it doesn't matter a ton.

I didn't mention Battlefield 4 specifically because I don't play it... lol

So you agree with what I said about Battlefield 1? Good because I'm pretty sure the requirements aren't out yet. Just guesswork at this point.

Overwatch requires a 980 Ti to get 144 FPS solid on max settings. That's why I said it would do decent.

Also, your story is conflicting. You said it will do okay on battlefield, but in your next post you say it's guesswork. Which is it?

EDIT: Last i checked the 480 is comparable for a 970 and a 1060 is comparable to a 980.

HMM for 20 bucks I wonder what would be a better buy.

Stop trying if you don't know what your gpu is doing.
