Unless you're an elf...it shouldn't be too bad at all.

/e It's only 4.5 lbs. My Calculus book weighed more than that. :)

15.

Performance wise, it's not worth the cost. You could get a razer blade for that cost which is far better.

U buying mac because some other kids from your class has one aswell?
Overpriced, anyoing OS, almost impossible to repair. Adobe programs runs fine on win 7/8 and 10.

The retina screen and design are top notch tho.

How is a Macbook Pro overpriced?? Have you seen the price of a fully specced HP Spectre, Lenovo Thinkpad Carbon, Dell XPS, etc? They cost as much if not more.

PC users often compare Macbook Pros with plasticky, cheaply made, poorly designed, thick, heavy/bulky low battery life 1080p TN-panel laptops but have dat der GPU (irrelevant for 90% of society...) which is not a fair comparison.

Once you compare a Macbook to a Windows PC of similar design, aesthetics, display, materials etc they are actually quite competitively priced.

What? An XPS15 with similar hardware to a MBP runs about 1450 new compared to 1999 minimum. The main difference is the MBP has a resolution of 2880x1800 compared to 1080p on the XPS15. The XPS15 has an IPS panel too. You can get an XPS15 with a 4k screen for 50 more than the MBP.

As an added benefit, the XPS15 has a 6th gen i7 processor while MBP's still use 4th gen. The XPS15 also has a dedicated gpu which may or may not benefit you already factored into the price vs the Iris Pro on the MBP.
