Lol yes, I'm dodging a question that I don't owe you an answer to. Good job sir, you've won masterfully. I hope you enjoy the victory to your heart's content.

No, you are dodging the logic of why you would not want to answer it.

so to get back on topic.

IT sounds like 2 and 3 just need a new Hard drive. Generally if the OS is corrupt you would still get something, but just a black screen is pretty common when you have either OS or Hardware failure. I would get an Solid State Drive since they are cheap (60-70) and install it into the laptop and go from there.

number 1 if you can get the mobo and it's the EXACT model you should be able to boot right up without changing to much (maybe). but chances are your going to have to format the hard drive and reinstall the OS (probably for the better anyway).

depending on the age, probably not worth it to spend the time and money. Also if you are a computer noob. tearing apart a laptop and putting it back together isen't exactly hard, but its also not the easiest. If you dont know what a heatsink is or how to properly apply one, I would be paying someone to fix your computer for you.

Lol it may have gotten lost in the post right above yours, but I actually put the HD from #2 into #1 and got it to boot. I took everything that had a Phillips screw apart and simply put it back in reverse order when I visually inspected the motherboard for physical damage. It looked fine so I buttoned everything back up and tried a different HD (comp 2).

I'm on to disassembling #2 and investigating before buying a HD for #1. Thanks for your reply, appreciate it.

Lol I hope you're not still mad Lulz.
It may be that I'm from a different era than you, but I don't offer or feel the need to offer any form of identification or clue of identification without warrant or reason. You may argue that a JSP handle is not a form of identification, but I would retort that I don't owe you an answer to any question you impose. Feel free to aware me on the logic in which I owe you an answer as to who my forum gold came from.

I am glad you finally answered in relation to my actual question (bolded ^). Keep in mind: I never asked you who sent you fg... I asked you if you would mind telling me who sent it, after you said you do/would mind, I asked why would/do you mind, you then responded with "I don't have to tell you who sent me fg, 'mods can check fg log'", so I reminded you again, I was asking WHY you would not want me (or anyone) to know who sent it to you, what negative impact could it have revealing what "handle" sent you that fg?

Feel free to ignore me.
