i don't wanna have to upgrade till like, the next direct x or something. so i'll probably go with the 5850 for 60$ more. even though 5830 can be oc'd to a pretty nice card, the 5850 is more future proofed for me hehe. crysis 2, and other new games,

buy a $600 gpu at release date, and last years top end is like half its original price used
and the funny part is that last years top end gpu will play pretty much any game out there at high settings

yeah, and i can live with the super-graphic intensive games being set to middling-high settings IMO

that's no fun. the insane graphics are the big part that makes me wanna play on pc rather then console. if i want decent graphics, i get a 360. but as far as pushing the envelope with beautiful display and great frame rates... a high end card is worth it

seriously, with a 360 you won't worry about being outdated with graphics, drivers, directX, etc.. you can just buy & play. get a 360 m8
