speed of light can only travel so fast in fiber optic cables brother. unless they have dubai servers..

Cause if far away from servers, it'll have to connect to the d2r servers in the USA and then back to Dubai (round trip). So it could be double that and more. Really no way to lower this

I am in Dubai, trying to play EU servers.#

Total distance shouldnt be more than 15000 km ( it is around 12000)

15k km should be 50 ms. problem is all the stupid routes that internet takes.

yeah but that's just one way. ping is round trip, so x2 that plus all the other stuff it has to hop through the network, especially if going through a sh*t ton of countries and datacenters (where the other ms delay is coming from).

edit: although there might be an underwater cable network from france to dubai, that i'm not sure.

edit: SEA-ME-WE 4 might be it

edit2: also, fiber optic speed is about 70% of speed of light too, so add in more ms to that.. which honestly seems around 140ms lol

So im currently working on Orchestrating A deep sea line between Dubai and Germany LUL

Distance is 6k km. I accounted as 15k km just to be on the safe side.
