Hi my last year Model Lg850-B has a different color then the 2 new Lg-850's I bought last week.

All are same model Lg 850-B

The 2 new monitors match color, last years model is a bit different.

Its not much but definitely noticeable when you open google chrome and view a all 'white' page.

Any ideas? Do LCD screens lose color over time (1 year only?), or do they legit change color manufacture settings after a period of time I do notice that my new monitors have different serial type stickers on the back.

I'm going to assume the 1 year age difference has a factor, settings by default on the new ones even have a different brightness level. I matched the settings but still they don't match exact.

Any chance you are using different types of cables? DisplayPort and HDMI have a difference in colors for me on my monitors.

There's various models within the 850 series (GL/GN/GP)

That could be where the problem lies, would ensure it is the exact same part#

27GN850B, or whatever that sequence may be

Yes i'm aware, all same GP model.

I just think its an age issue to be honest, seems like 1 year of usage would create minor discrepancies in accurate color.

These monitors also have firmware, they come with a device to plug into the monitors with a USB to check for firmware. Might be worth checking

I would doubt that tbh. LG has some of the best color accuracy and longevity in panels, and since you're buying the GP Premium Nano IPS panel I just can't see it after 1 year. Could be, but wouldn't think so especially since that model is HDR 400 Color Calibrated and IPS panels known for their color.

Maybe they added a matte finish or some kind of anti glare film onto this years model? Would be worth checking.

well i have just ordered another monitor so I will know in a couple days if this new one that comes in will match the other 2 I got last week, will hopefully rule out some variables. The color difference is small, but it is there. I also think it would be odd that the colors dont match, but interestingly enough the default settings for the new monitors come at Brightness level 45, where as last years model comes in at 30. So definitely some difference in the models from last year,
