So all of a sudden my comp shut down. I turned on my PC and no graphics. Opened my pc and see that the fans on the GPU don't spin.
I reseat it in the PCIE slot and replug the power cables too. Nothing. I tried the other PCIE slot, nothing. Is it dead?

you try booting into safe mode?

check your motherboards support page in manual, most have boot sequences and if the gpu doesn't get reached (say if ram was checked first) it will narrow down your search

Well if I connect my display to my GPU's output, it won't show anything so I can't get into safe mode. I can boot fine into integrated graphics if I connect my display to motherboard's output socket.
Boot sequences? I'll look into that but is there any visual indicator?

Are you able to still get into your bios? Try updating that?

Some motherboards have LED indicators on components to check if they're good. (mine has a red LED beside each system it checks, blinks solid for like 1s, then goes onto the next, and if something fails it remains solid red).

My motherboard is pretty old, I only see one light indicator for the RAM.
I can go into the BIOS while I am booting up while connecting my display to my integrated graphics. I still have my GPU slotted along with its power cables while I am using my computer with integrated graphics.
If it doesn't list my GPU in BIOS, it means it can't detect it right? I'll give that a shot

Yeah, doesn't hurt. Sounds like it's your motherboard or GPU to me. Could be your power supp too. I'd say make sure you're plugged into the wall directly, too, maybe it's not getting enough power just to eliminate odds and ends. If your PSU is modular I'd double check the connections on PSU side and make sure they're plugged into their appropriate slot (if there's more, then try those to rule out a bad plug)

Unfortunately my PSU only has 2x PCIe 6+2-Pin Connectors which are both used for the GPU and it's non modular.
psu: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Cfw323/corsair-power-supply-cx600
motherboard if curious: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Cjzv6h/asus-motherboard-p8b75mle

Going to go boot into bios and look around.

looks like your mobo only has these lights, i'd check the ram light but if that passes then you have power issues/mobo issues/gpu issues

I booted into bios and the only info I kind of found is about the PCIEx16_1 slot has a status of "not present".
So I'm guessing that means the slot is broken or something since it can't detect it? But what would cause the fans to not start? Probably a dead GPU

yup, at that point if you don't have spare points laying around i'd take it to a pc store for testing tbh, or else you'll end up replacing a lot more to figure it out :p
