I am currently using a GTX 970 that I have had since 2015. I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and I am heavily leaning towards a 2070 super. They are about 50% stronger than the 970 so it's a great upgrade. The prices average around 500-520 bucks which is a pretty good price point.

Is there another card I should look into or do y'all agree that the 2070 super would be the way to go? Also you can SLI them and they do pretty good apparently. I found a hack for Mordhau that let's you turn on SLI. (you trick the system into using both cards)

tl;Dr New 2070 super 520$ or a different card. If so which?

If you're going for 1440p I'd say that's probably the best card for it at the moment. Anything higher I'd suggest either the 2080 super or if you can wait til the 3000 series comes out.

/e id still get a 2070 super today though, just because it could still be a while before they release. I'm planning on getting one for the pc I'm setting up for a friend.

you can get a 2070 non super for 399

the super variant is so middle of the pack its almost not worth it
if you're spending over 500 on a video card you might as well get the 2080 or 2080 super

/E not to mention the RX 5700 XT is better than a 2070 non super for 50-60 dollars less on some models. But the drivers are eh.

True. Linus joked that at this rate, they won't release the 3k series until 2022.

if you next day or two day one on amazon you get shipping priority when they come back in stock
the gigabyte windforce x2 is always around the 399 mark

529 is overpriced as hell

Yeah, it is.
I hope for everyone's sake, they come back in stock soon. Motherboards too, and PSUs.

I hope this does even more than that... I hope US companies, get it in gear so we don't have to rely on the Far East, so much.

??

So 2070 super looks good unless I can find a 2080. Honestly though, that 2060 super is the best price to performance card right now but I want more umph. I have a 3440x1440 144hz monitor I want to enjoy. Sadly a single 2080 ti isn't enough and far too expensive.
