Tldr 1 computer plugged into the modem is fine, second computer plugged into modem doesn't recognise it works if I plug 2nd computer into a separate router.

I have a computer directly plugged into an Ubee modem and it's fine, 230 Mbps speed download speed as of now.
Now I have a Linksys E1200 plugged into the Ubee and I used that to give service to all my devices, problem is my other PC had slow internet while on wireless.
I ran an Ethernet cable from second PC to the Ubee and it wouldn't recognise it. I plugged the ethernet cable into the wireless router and it works aside from only getting 1/3 of the speed.

More like your using ancient tech if you find the need for such a cable.
I mean do you even know of auto mdix?

If I connect it directly to the router my network changes to unkown/public connection, even though I have a PC connected to the same router just fine.
I went through my settings and the IPs were missing, I filled that out, and I was able to change the configuration to private. It connected to the router, but still no internet connectivity.
I restarted the PC and everything went to shit again. I sort of gave up. It even gave me trouble connecting it like it was before.
