hey all,

i currently use a galaxy s8. this thing is a pos cracked etc, still works however.

so now im looking into new phones. I was thinking about the pixel 4. Thought it has kinda bad reviews and pixel 3 XL might be better.

overall im looking for opinions and the best deal on phones for black friday/cyber monday. budget is irrelevant im willing to spend on the phone, it will probably last me 3 or so years like my last one.

OnePlus 7 Pro or 7T if you plan on sticking with Android. Best bang for your buck specs wise imo.

The specs look great, but I am really not a fan of the curved edge. It's just super annoying on the S8. Would want to get away from it, but I think I'll keep this in mind.

Just got the galaxy s10e myself and enjoy it so far.

No curved edge, hate that as well.

Fingerprint reader inside the power button is extremely accurate and hasn't failed me once.

Spec wise the phone has plenty of muscle. Camera is decent, screen quality is very nice, and the sound is great as well. SD card slot, no idea why phones don't come with them.

Went from a s7 so it was a big step up. Wife had the s8+, hated that thing. She ended up with the iPhone 11 and has mixed feelings about it. Personally I never liked apple so I won't touch it.

you raise great points here. so the S8 its not that its bad, it still runs all apps really well. my whole phone is cracked beyond belief though so im just over it. hate the curved edge. I also dont have any apple products so in my opinion it doesn't make sense to just start now. I will stick with android because i have android wearables. I wanted to get the pixel 4 because its brand new and what not, but the pixel 3 XL is a great deal. Is there any major discrepencies between the 2? just the camera and no fingure print reader? and mayber slightly better specs?

I really want the pixel 4, maybe when they release more software updates it will get better with time ?

The major differences between the s10e and s10/s10+ is the fingerprint reader (better on the e imo), more ram on the upper two (e still has 6 or 8 gigs, plenty) and the lack of a telephoto 2x zoom lens which is trivial for my use. The cameras on the e are leaps and bounds better than the s7 I had.

The screen size is a slight difference but I wanted something that fits in one hand and my pocket easier.

You can Google the differences and also see why many feel the s10e is a solid device and better than the other two in ways.
