I am buying more case fans today at microcenter. I have done some reading up on this and there's no clear answer. Just wanted to take a poll.
Also, I have found out through more reading that the stock cpu coolers that come with my chip is ACTUALLY WORTHLESS
I am pretty much renovating the fans and their placements for my desktop to optimize air flow. Something that I have not considered before because I am a scrub nib

ty. I indeed to have filters and plan to use them for the intake fans (I believe that is the correct pairing?)

Neutral is the best (same amount of intake and exhaust). Positive will have better CPU temps, negative will have better GPU temps; generally speaking.
Depending on what CPU you have, the stock cooler may definitely not be enough (Intel). What case you have can also have a pretty big impact on how well your hardware cools.
Voted negative, but like I said, a neutral setup will be the best overall. 2 of each should be plenty.

i vote balanced/neutral =) where is that?
most desktops have exhaust in the back, which is recommend to take heat away
and if u add filtered intake in the front i think u are good to go

They have done test. Positive pressure with dust filtration is the best. You can even buy magnetic dust filters for your case so cleaning the dust off is a breeze.

I have always had better temps with with negative over positive by far
balanced does it just right
but open cases seem to be even better than all

but open cases seem to be even better than all
less surface / corners for things to settle.
though with a properly filtered case a positive flow is best.
