This one, 15 bids and went for 35 euro, and I saw a lot of similar ones go for the same

Bitcoining? The code is basic and only requires a pci e slot to put in an expander.

Seems like it only has PCI and AGP. No PCI-E.

I guess people buy them because of nostalgia, because a Raspberry Pi would probably performer better.

I mean some of those old boards/ cpu's have Gold in them.

I seriously doubt 35 euro worth, probably like 5 euro profit.

I dunno why, but I hope it's the beginning of a trend.

I still have old ass motherboards, CPUs, vid cards, RAM, storage etc.

Dunno. Could be replacing old hardware that would cost substantially more to replace and train people on how to fix.

I've had a million of those lol!

"

The CPU is embedded in the motherboard. The heat sink is Gold plated Copper.

"

Interesting! :) But still , to make profit they would need to gather 1 gr gold :O

As you said, there is more to making profit from extracting the gold from old electronics than seems apparent at first glance.
Unless you can process old motherboards in ungodly amounts per day or per hour, the extraction costs will far out weigh the return from the gold itself.
