/e A ways back I tested the diff between single channel and dual channel, and there definitely was serious improvement.

I have a few spare parts, likely slapping together x58 and x79 builds and drowning them in water. I have 8x8gb dimms and trying to determine if I should go triple channel 24gb or dual channel 32gb on the x58. Gtx 1080ti in both setups.



What about real world benchmarks?

Your tests are benchmark tests, need real game tests please.

@op realistically most games these days benefit from dual channel but some still suffer based on how its coded.
Triple channel is the same shit with far less support so you may not notice fuck all but synthetics benches will show a boost.

So my Aida64, Tools > Cache & Memory Benchmark is a benchmark you say. Who would've thought. :/

All else equal, more is better so long as you're hardware can support it.

How many sticks of DIMM do you want to be used in tandem. Not so much how much ram do you want to have overall and more like how big of a bandwidth do you need.
