stress testing is far more strenuous on the machine then gaming.
It's essentially pushing your system to it utter limit.
we can justify Intel's lazy use of tim between the die and ihs by blaming it on the type of stress testing being all we want and that will never end, the ante will just keep being upped, eventually when they're just stuffing the ihs with sawdust people complaining about throttling when gaming will be told going above 50% cpu usage is very strenuous! Nearly thermally throttling at stock speeds is ludicrous,
especially on water . Ryzen is cheaper but they still use indium solder and provide better stock coolers so what's Intel's excuse?
stress testing used to be seen as the best way to determine how far you can overclock and overvolt a cpu even on budget aftermarket air cooler, there's no way we can move the goalposts from there to stock speeds on water without putting Intel on blast.
I remember when they had to patch prime95 because intel's laziness regarding Haswell's thermal transfer. Lmao.
