Hey all,

I'm just looking for a cheap computer to edit videos for youtube and play Diablo 2 and maybe WoW. Would this computer do both of those fairly well?
(Not interested in building my own through pcpartpicker or w/e)

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883230255&ignorebbr=1

After $10 off discount code comes to $499.99

I am currently using this:

Also can anyone explain how much of an upgrade this computer would be over my current laptop?

Thanks.

That desktop is...less than desirable. Editing smaller low res videos I'm sure you could get away with. Diablo 2 will play like a champ. I wouldn't play wow on it, not saying you can't, I just wouldn't.

It has double the ram, and faster ram over your laptop. More storage, a faster processor, and it actually has a graphics card (Even if it is a shitty one). So yeah, it's a super budget low end pc, but it's better than your laptop in every way except portability.

Thank you for the input!

Pre-built computer are rarely ever worth it if your end goal is gaming. Building one yourself even with the same hardware line will generally provide much better result. If you post a budget, people here will be more that willing to pick out the parts for you to purchase.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9k6WWX - under 600, and basically has higher quality components in every spot. Better cpu, mobo, ram, gfx, psu, hdd, and probably much better case in terms of thermals.

/e Disclaimer, if you intend to not change any components for the next couple years at least, I would invest in the 1060 6gb instead. The higher vram will help future-proof your card, but if you just want something to hold you over until you can afford a better gfx card, the 1060 3gb will be just fine for 1080p gaming, especially on d2 and wow.

Pretty solid.
