MSI apache ge62vr 7rf-430ca
7700hq 15.6" 16gb ram gtx 1060 3gb
$1869 cad

MSI phantom gs43vr 7re-072ca
7700hq 14" 16 gb ram gtx 1060 6gb
$1949 cad

MSI apache ge72mvr-7rg
7700hq 17.3" 8gb ram gtx 1070 8gb
$2299 cad

Was hoping for bigger than 14" but the 15.6 only has a 3gb gpu. The 17.3" only has 8gb ram but better gpu and bigger screen, also $350 more. Is the -8gb ram a huge loss?

Selling my desktop once I get my mobo replaced, need a laptop for going away with the military often.

The MSI apache ge62vr 7rf-430ca is only 1920 x 1080 resolution. The GTX 1060 3GB will work fine with that.

Chances are I'll only be playing WoW on it, I use my Xbox one for other games.

Yeah I'm in the process of removing a lot of crap that came on it.
Trying to determine what's required/what's not .

i'd do a fresh install if you can find all the drivers for the extra proprietary components you actually want to use, most critical components should auto detect and install by win10 but still.

I agree with the fresh install route. But only AFTER you are 100% sure you have all the drivers necessary. Downloaded and stored on a USB stick or similar.
