Its a samsung ks8000. which apparently has ALOT of reviews talking about the lightbleed. and several people say they have returned like 2 or 3 of their panels just to finally be somewhat satisfied with their 4th panel. its a 65 inch, and yea i do have the option to return it in the mail. but its so damn big and was not easy to unbox. i can't image putting it back in the box to ship and make sure i package it securely.....

So the customer service technician from samsung told me to change the settings on the TV and upgrade to the latest firmware.... like wtf this is not a software issue....

They do offer a repair technician to come out the my house cause the size is over 42 inch. But will the technician be able to fix this issue? i think they would have to replace the whole front panel? and if they do replace it, would it probably be a good job and worth the risk for me to have one come out to try to fix it?

also i can get squaretrade warranty for like $100... they are probably better than samsung. but i am wondering if i should get that warranty just in case the backlight bleed gets worse over time? is that common for backlight bleed to get worse? or does it normally just stay how it is?

Thanks!

Return it or live with the baclklight bleed.

Pretty much your only two options.

If he completely replaces the panel, Yes. as long as the bleed isnt caused by the bezel hitting the panel or etc.

Are they actually going to send someone out to replace the screen? Typically thats something they do when you send it in?

not sure if they will send someone out to fix it. but as per their warranty, any issues they will send a technician out to fix the issue.
i would hope that instead of my repackaging the whole damn TV, the can send some1 out to just replace the panel? i would imagine its probably not too easy to do, but should be reasonable for a technician to do right? like its something can be be done by a trained technician with a high rate of success? or is it something incredibly difficult?

A tech is not replacing a panel
Cheaper to send u a new unit tbh

They may replace panel in a shop even still better to scrap it
At facility for main board and give u a new unit.

ok thanks... ive read some people say the tech has replaced their panel for them at their home. but i guess thats probably not the normal situation.....

its just im afraid i wont package it properly. and well then i would have to wait several days for it to be returned and several days after to get the refund to place a new order for TV. the website doesnt do exchanges, but they will credit me the money back to replace the order.

Return it and go with a different panel that isn't notorious for having bleeding issues.
