So my dumb ass spilled maple syrup in my razor blackwidow, in razors you cant remove the metal plate so is it safe to
tare it down remove keys etc and soak it in 99% isopropyl alcohol and if so how long do you suggest i let it soak then dry off for before using it again etc.

p.s
i bought a blackwidow chroma and as some of you no its a normal keyboard ment to feel like a mechanical it works prity good not as loud as my mechanical one but its prity cool
i plan to return it after im done and get my money back i just wanted something to use till i could fix mine haha

Literally checked your profile to see if you were from Canada

Isopropyl wont dissolve the sugar. Take the caps off, Remove the keyboard casing till you're pretty much down to the PCB/Caps & rinse it very well with water. Then pour 99% over it, to help evaporate the water. Let it sit for a couple days.

Might have to scrub a few places to remove the sugar.

realy wow thats a bummer im scared of water so take a bucket of hot water/dish soap rince and soak then shake it to get most of the water off then soak in alcohol and then what? place with rice to further dry it out?

p.s
what if water gets traped in the triggers?

Water won't harm it at all. Just don't plug it in while still wet.

I wouldn't rice it, Just let it sit near a vent/window for a day or two after running 99% on it.

The isopropyl will help get rid of the majority of water.

Blowing the switches with canned air would help remove water, and help it dry faster.

But it's still a waiting game.

/e probably don't use soap though.
