Would like to get a second screen setup going, and not all to sure if I need anything other then just the monitors.
Seems like it would be self explanatory, and sure I don't need to much in-depth explanation but would like to know if I need any programs, or to purchase anything else.

Currently, have an open HDMI port for a monitor as my current one uses the older block looking plugin, and hoping that shouldn't be a problem that they would be different

Right now, using an older dell HD and would like to upgrade to a decent 4k gaming monitor, but wouldn't even know where to begin looking in terms of specs on them.
Any recommendations, and why you recommend the specific monitor would be greatly appreciated and looking to get this soon (thank you taxes)

If you don't know your PC spec. Download speccy and post a screenshot.
No additional software needed for multiple monitor setup. Windows will handle it.

Sorry, was a little tired when I posted this and left those obvious things out

Hoping around 400$ but don't mind spending more if it is worth it, but I'm sure a lot of stuff will be a huge upgrade to the monitor I have.
Like I said, I don't even know what to look for in a monitor that would add more value, other then it being 4K sadly (and I understand refresh rates lmao)

I7-4790 3.60 GHz, 8GB Ram, GeForce GTX 970
Windows 10 64bit

I play a lot of PoE, and will sometimes have 2 open to carry my other account through the same stuff that I'm doing on my main for challenges and stuff.

Couple shooters here and there, and would really like to try my Xbox out on it, but will not be the main reason for the monitor

Thank you again for your time!

If you start playing new games on a 4k monitor your frames might suffer

Because of the 4K monitor?
Or the specs?

I mean for poe it would probably be fine

Newer games you'd have to run low settings and I think you'd still have low frames depending on the game

Like battlefield for an example
