So I'm not quite sure if this is the right section for this question.

But I need some advice for gaming headsets.

I mainly play Counter Strike : Global Offensive

I am looking for a good but cheap one. My highest priority is a good mic quality.

I've heard about the HyperX Cloud 2 to be a very good overall headset, but the mic isn't quite impressing?

Any suggestions/advices for me?

Cheers

Yeah this is the correct place. I truely love my hyperx cloud2 worth any penny. Way better than the steelseries serbia and sennheiser pc350. But there is a bunch in here who hate "gaming" headsets.

I'm just gonna be the one to say it -- the ModMic is overpriced and really not all that great.

I have the 4.0 and really it's quite poor quality. I guess I could have gotten a bad one, but literally every single person I talk to on TeamSpeak thinks it sounds like ass.

Yes I have a USB sound card and have uninstalled RealTek audio, etc. I've done everything. It's just not a great product at $50+.

If you want cheap I would look for ModMic (Uni) and Superlux HD681, how ever if you want better sound then look for Sennheiser HD558 to pair with ModMic.

I should be more clear... it's not cracking or anything.

I just have to turn on some form of AGC (either in TS3 or in mic options in Windows) in order for it to not be insanely quiet. Otherwise they can't hear me without turning me up like 20 dB.

USB sound card or whatever helped, but not much.
