so i posted an item for sale on craigslist... and recently 2 people text me asking if it is still for sale. but they both used my name. i never posted my name online for craigslist. only posted my phone number

sure they could have looked up my name from my phone number, but still, 2 people just text me within an hour of each other and both used my name, when no1 else has yet.

is this weird?

First thing you do when you get a text response from Craigslist is look up the numbers area code. Should be common sense.

Never use your personal phone number on Craiglist. Go to the an airport and buy one of those throwaway phones with a phonecard to do business on Craiglist.

I bargain people, fix it or salvage it, flip it on E bay. You can't be robbed with a shitty phone. I had a guy tried to rob me once... as soon as I took out my Nokia phone... he said "I don't want that shit and ran off." I once bought an Alienware M11X gaming laptop for $250, replaced the hard drive, sold it for $800. I doubt you would say to the person, "I'm going to fix your laptop then buy it for $700 because that's how much your laptop is currently worth."
