The error is because you have the Windows Firewall Service...turned off.

It should be set to Automatic in Services.

After that you won't get the error, and you will be able to manually set the inbound and outbound firewall rules.

Press Windows key and type services.msc. Find Windows firewall, right click it and go to "properties". Make sure the "Startup type" drop down box is set to Automatic.

It is set to automatic.

It says the service has stopped, so i clicked start and it says windows could not start windows firewall on a local computer. for more information, review the system event log.

sooo wat to do??

Open Services.msc again...

Right click on Windows Firewall and choose: Properties. Then up at the top click on the Dependencies tab. Click all the plus signs on the list of dependencies. You need all those Services running, too, for Windows Firewall to work.

No that's just a list of the things you need to turn on in Services.

You HAVE to then turn them on....in Services.
