i ordered Logitech Surround Sound 5.1 Speakers Z506

and i am probably going to need to length the wires to set it up around my room. prob will need to have some wires reach around 20 ft to run along the ceiling over my door.

i know its a cheap set of surround sound but i used dell gift card credit for it. and the next step up cost 300 bucks or so lol....

ill just prob need those plastic tubes but i forgot their names? and some extra wire i guess right? like to cut the wire and then splice or whatever?

tubes should prob cost like 5 bucks for a pack of a few? only would need like 5 of them. and then a few bucks for the wire? should be easy?

i have wire stripper and cutter. but not a crimper or whatever to pinch the tubing

oh shit, thanks lol i just assumed it was regular speaker wires. im looking at unboxing videos now and it seems they are RCA cables. i would assume its not good to cut RCA wires and splice them lol? eithor way yea like you said RCA extension is probably easiest, just female to male plug and extend. but ugh then i would need to buy several of those, and make it a bit more expensive.

im also going to want to mount a few to my wall, wonder how that will work, if a single thumb tack sort of thing may work, if theres a hole behind the speaker for simple hanging it. but meh, i could just pop a hole into the back plastic lol, but idk id rather do a better way

id assume these speakers are super lightweight and i can probably get away with some ghetto rigging it to the wall. but would prefer to not have to drill any holes in the wall, a simple thumb tack into the wall and then place that into a hole or something into the rear of the speaker may work

Speaker wires are generally ...shielded, so yeah, not good to splice them.

Just get extender cables. They have long enough ones. Check Cables2Go....if you find them, search (with the model number) on Amazon for them.

Tracks for wiring, plastic or metal, are at Home Depot, among other places.

included cables are at different lengths so I'd just wait until they show up to consider which extender length to buy

Cables

Front: 2 meters
Rear: 5 meters
Center: 2.7 meters
Accessory cables: 2 meters

Weight

5.1 kg

ok true , thanks

ive seen i can prob get a good length of extensions, in a 2 pack for like 10 bucks on amazon. assuming i only need to extend two of the speaker wires.

how do you think they sound? i dont expect much at all, but hope they are semi okay. they have good reviews. but at their price point they can be too good. just an upgrade from my built in tv speakers
