Here is my computer. Currently running 3 monitors and 2 of them, I believe, are 1080p @ 60 hz. Can my current set up run a 144 hz monitor? I heard the smoothness is just unreal. Maybe I should go to bestbuy and look at one in action? Obviously wouldnt buy from there.

I have not overclocked any components yet as I'm not sure how to do so.

Yeah, you can. A GTX 1070 will do that, easily.

I read somewhere that if I didn't have 110 FPS or higher than it might not work as well. In major cities with a lot of people and space, I get 60 FPS. That okay?

60fps on 144hz will work just as fine.

You will reach 144fps in all competitive games at least.
Sure some AAA titles will struggle on max settings to reach above 60fps.

Perfect, thanks. What's a good monitor to get that isn't stupid expensive (all things considered)? Does it even matter if they are all 144 hz?

A 144 hz monitor at <60 fps is the same as a 60 hz monitor at <60 fps. There's no disadvantage other than price lol

The main difference in the more budget oriented 144hz monitors is the stand and connectivity. Yeah a benq will look a little better than the acer but at the end of the day, its still a TN panel

ips 144 hz 1440p gsync would be what you want.

this would be my choice probably

alternatively, 4k 60 fps

personally, i could go either way, but then i would give up my 3x 1080p monitor setup which i'm totally fine with the for the time being :)

Well you could just change thw middle one out for a 144hz and keep the other 2. No need for 3 144hz monitors unless youre super into racing games and have a gnarly setup for it

Should I get 2560x1440 resolution or would it be not worth it to stay around 1920x1080 ?
