Hi hi. Thanks for taking the time to read my topic.

Asus K55VD Laptop, WiFi connection
Windows 10.

The repairman from our internet provider installed a modem when our all-in-one box proved unreliable. Since the new modem was installed, my laptop sometimes drops the connection to the modem (About two or three times a day). I feel like I have tried every possible way to reconnect to the connection, but all it would ever say is "Cannot connect to this network". A laptop restart almost always fixes the issue as it then successfully connects to the highest prioritized network (the new modem).

A secondary problem is, when connected to the modem, I notice that the internet is not very stable. I have no issues using browsers or something similar, but a live-action game is sure enough impossible. Perhaps something that can be done?

If further information is required, do tell.

Regards,

Try another wifi channel if that does not help.
Buy a router and bridge the modem or bitch at ISP for something else.

get new router. Anything from an ISP is typically garbage. Can also make sure you adapter drivers are up to date
Maybe reinstall them

How does one find said drivers and reinstall them?

No other channels are available. I'm hoping to fix this problem without having to depend on the bloody ISP yet again, after they sent 3 repairmen already. They keep fixing a problem by introducing the next problem :(

Oh, you mean whether I can connect to outside networks. Yeah, no problems when I'm at college with my laptop! Just the modem one here at home is crap as fudge.

A wifi channel is the frequency your wifi is broadcasted at. There's like 1-20 channels.

If there is too much devices on a single channel, It can cause everything to run like shit.

Ziggo;
None, internet came from an All-in-One Horizon box (I think that's not a modem?);
Ziggo Connect Box
