UNDF isn’t a file format, but a short error code to explain that the file you are trying to play has an undefined file format. Basically, it means the VLC media player is not able to read the format of the file you are trying to play. When the VLC media is unable to recognize the file format, it would certainly throw an error such as “No suitable decoder module: VLC does not support the audio or video format undf”.

Sounds like the video might be corrupt or something?

Each person has their own preferences, But VLC is a very popular media player. I prefer it over everything else i've tried through the years.

Use MPC-HD with MadVR renderer, ffdshow decoders, and if applicable xysubfilter renderer.

If you are feeling really eager you can also install SVP media package with allows you to super sample frames to convert 23.976fps films into 60, 120, and 144hz outputs.

As mentioned...it's probably a corrupt file.

Media Player Classic (MPC) is another media player, you may like.
