I need help... my computer turns on but no display on monitor any advice or where i should start? I had been using it for the past few months and then turned it off for about a week and now when i turn the comp on everything lights up and fans kick on but no display on the monitor

Any advice? Computer is 2 yrs old and ive only added ram sticks to it

Re-seat the RAM, and the GPU. A lot of times the expansion and contraction of a computer being on for a while then, off for a while can break the contact, in the RAM or GPU slots.

There's a million other things it could also be, but if you or anyone else in your home, truly did nothing else but have the comp on, then have it off...this sounds like the most likely cause.

Plug the monitor to your gpu, not mobo.
