Bought a computer off craigslist with windows xp it wont let me install anything saying there is no installer and wont let me restore system. Bought new windows 8but wont let me install either internet plugged in and nothing if anyone knows what's up Lmk paying fg if help me fix thanks

1. Get Mini-Tools Partition Wizard boot CD here: http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html
2. Use IMGBurn here: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download ...to burn the "Partition Wizard Boot CD" .iso to a CD or DVD (has to be blank)
3. Boot your Craiglist comp, from the Partition Wizard Boot CD....delete any and all partitions on the Hard drive.
4. For now, just use Partition Wizard to create, one big partition that takes up the whole HDD.
5. Then try to install w/e Operating System you want.

is the computer part of a domain possibly? I believe that could possibly cause this issue

had a computer a while back where someone wanted a wireless card installed but I could not get the drivers to install. ended up making it a workgroup computer instead of domain and it worked fine after that.
if its a valid key just pull that from the machine and get a windows boot disk and reload it which I would recommend anyways, who knows if the guy has like keyloggers or something installed... especially off craigslist
