what country are you in? headphones + mic would be much better for your money.

what type of games do you play?
is music important? if so, which genres do you listen to?
is bass important? (scale of 1-10)

sc2 aeon of storms
im very competitive and play for clans
also use mumble and skype
use to listen to alot of music while i played now i only listen to music as im loading each game(so like once an hour while im playing so the music aspect is not so important)
besides that i listen to music occasionally so it might be important but not manditory

Edit: i might use them for music lessons occasionally

audio technica m50, ultrasone hifi 570 and shure srh840 are the first ones that came to mind. they are closed back so noise wont be leakin in or out of your headphones. in a word, they are isolated.
the cheapest one from the list is the m50, but you probably wont even need to spend that much for SC2.
an old favourite you should consider is the sony mdr-v6, which is even cheaper

nice. the ones i suggested would be perfect for that. the m50 is a popular choice. the mdr-v6 are more flat and would also do well.
