So trying to portforward but I have a router connected to a router connected to a modem. Any ideas how to get it working?

Running a server for a game. Need to forward the ports so people can connect

Well use the router stemming off of the modem.

What kind of router is it?
You will need to get to the web interface to forward whatever IP/ports to whatever IP address(server's IP/Port)
Try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or use ipconfig through a cmd prompt and use the IP address labeled default gateway to get connected to the router.

I have gotten them both open and thought I added them right but people cant connect. Not sure why I keep saying I it is my friend lol. I got it to work for me but I only have 1 router

Check firewall settings.

Also try and ping the IP address of the server from wherever whoever is trying to connect from. If no response then it is not configured correctly.

What hardware do you have (routers and modem)?

I am the tester and yea no response. firewall settings are fine I believe

Check the port number and the IP address that the router is forwarding to.

Also you stated that you have a router plugged into a router... why is this?

He says because router1 isnt wireless and router 2 doesnt have enough wired ports lol
