Hi all,

I recently purchased and built a $2k PC and now when I try and run D2R it lags HARD. I'm talking I get 2-3 FPS in-game. All drivers are up to date.

PC Parts:

- AMD Ryzen 9 7900 CPU
- AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
- ASUS TUF Gaming B560
- G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 Series 2x 32GB
- Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 MM
- Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD 2TB
- Corsair RMx Series (2021) 850 watt gold fully modular power supply

Very depressing after spending this much $$ and putting it together to deal with this.. there's something that's wrong and idk what it is

Will give FG if you're able to fix it!

Are you using igpu? Run the game and then screenshot task manager and the performance section

Yeah it sounds like it might not be using your high performance GPU.. pretty sure you would have an iGPU with that system.. although it's a bit odd that it wouldn't negotiate that. the easiest way to assign that is probably just going through the "Graphics" section in Window's settings and setting the .exe to high performance. Superstu wants a screenshot so we can tell if there is any % utilization on the card.

Yeah easy enough to boot into Bios and check which GPU is being utilized, probably the issue

The issue ended up being the current driver, I installed an older version and then started to get over 800 fps in legacy mode (yes, I already limited the FPS). It looks like it's using both the igpu and the reg gpu at the same time though - is this normal? or should I disable the igpu

Disable iGPU as it's not required & could cause conflictions, it should just pick up the primary selected video output source though

When I disable the iGPU that's when it goes back down to 3 FPS

So the driver didn't fix it? Make sure you're updating the proper video output source driver (GPU, not iGPU)

Going to older version of driver did fix it.. but when I just disabled the iGPU it wouldn't let me select my good GPU to run the game? Seems odd.

When I enabled it again (iGPU) and load the game the FPS is great (I limited it to 70 FPS because it will run at 200+ if I don't). From that screenshot above it looks like it's implementing both of them at the same time?

Have you gone into Bios to manually set it? You should be able to disable iGPU & run more adequate, confirming tests.
