Ok I can help you here.
First of all, one thing you need to know is that a DJ and DJ software do not create music. You will not "make" electro/techno with DJ software. DJ software will give you the ability to transition songs, use effects to help with transitions, and other little percs depending on the software you choose to go with. If you are looking to CREATE music, you must get a DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) like Ableton, Cubase, etc.
DJ software that I would recommend on trying for free would be Virtual DJ Home Edition.
You can upgrade that to Pro, which will allow you to use actual turntables and a mixer with it.
For more advanced softwares, I would recommend:
Native Instruments Traktor (I use this for my home studio)
Serato DJ
MixVibes
Take a look at those and see which will suit you best. If you have any questions post here and I will help as much as I can.
Cheers
