the obvious answer is the true one.
pinky excersize: don't baby your pinky. Ever. (avoiding the pinky because the ring can reach it)
^ that with lots of scales practice, since good scale posture constantly uses the pinky. Practice them with backing tracks to jam and have fun. Playing scales without a backing track is like swinging a baseball bat when there is no ball. Gets old fast.
