Hey guys, I've recently bought an acoustic guitar and I'm looking to learn a bit. I've found some resources and have a pretty good idea of what I should do at this point, but I was looking for your input as well. I figure you guys might have a few good resources I haven't seen.

Thanks for any help, much appreciated

well first learn all the basic chords
then i'd go over to barré chords
after that check out scales to be able to jam with someone

getting lessons and learning theory aint bad too (something i regret not doing)

learn what diatonic means and how it applies to any situation

diatonics ARE guitar i don't care what ppl say, you don't really need to harp on scales too much if you understand the basic theory of why those scales work

with guitar, what i tell people is to learn the major scale and then understand that every other scale is just a variation of the major scale and how it is a variation of the scale i.e minor = flat 3rd, flat 6th, flat 7th

Guitar is shapes
Guitar is patterns
Your fingers will fall to muscle memory before too terribly long

right, slow until you get the timing of it right along with the proper technique. Then speed it up gradually, keeping the timing consistent at each level.
