Hello!

I am extremely interested in making an attempt to learn the violin. I have played the guitar, both acoustic and electric, on and off for about 10 years now. Though I find nothing more relaxing than listening to a great violinist.

Out of curiosity, how is the transition from guitar to the violin? The lack of frets is my main concern near the beginning. Assuming I am fairly decent at the guitar, would one most likely pick it up quickly?

Appreciate the feedback.

Its a totally different animal. The bow and positioning of it is (similar to your picking hand) what takes time.
