Looking for some advice on the best way to approach this. I live in apartment with paper thin walls. Don't own a kit or anything aside from guitars. I can't think of a good way to practice in home due to the noise that would surly arise. Any suggestions?

or just rent a bandroom. e-drums don't really feel the same.

That's what I figured. I just can't see renting a band room financially feasible to practice as much as I am going to want to practice.
