For anyone with experience using audio interfaces, I have the Yamaha CI-1 and have a few questions regarding it.

Do musicians usually use the drum presets provided by the interface to make their own songs or is there a way to program it exactly how you want?

I am getting a delay from my guitar to my laptop. It's reduced greatly when i put in the headphones, but the problem is that there's only sound in the one ear. I've followed the instructions from the youtube videos and am having a hard time learning how the software works.

any tips? am i also able to download additional amps and stuff from other websites and use them in my interface?
do guitarists usually use the amp settings provided by the interface? like what I hear from djenty/prog metal music is really hard to reproduce irl.

Presets are a good way to start out a tone but the preset settings rarely ever have exactly the right amount of gain and volume so that it won't clip.

The problem with the preaet setting is they don't account for what YOUR input gain is set at.

But as far as interfaces go, there will ALWAYS be delay unless your running a DSP PCI card in your PC. Or your running protools Hd, which costs 20, 000 at the least.

And you can alwaya program it how you like it ans reproduce a tone the way you like it but theae things take years of experience and expensive gear to so.

You can't simply buy a cheap audio interface and a DAW and expect to sound professional. It takes years of experimentation and extensive knowledge.

And a question, what DAW are you using? (Software)

Ah ok

Yeah, you should be able to use drum samples from other companies.

I'm not familiar with sequel but if you wanna kick it up to the next level and are familiar with sequel you could get Cubase 4 or 5 or something for cheap off ***.

You will have much better plugins and be able to do way more.

Any questions let me know.
