Just had a defining moment in history. I've been learning guitar for the past 2 months and I've been practicing tuning by ear.

B string just snapped and sliced me a lil bit.

CSB etc etc. Going to GC tomorrow to get it fixed.

Been playing guitar for over 3 years now and I haven't broken a string yet. Maybe I don't play hard enough?

i had a time where a string (mostly g) snapped like every second band practice. i soon realized it was because the bridge was kinda abused, and changed my strumming technique. 2 years wow.

Or maybe you change them before they break lol

I usually wait until one string breaks to change the whole set since I'm lazy. This is not recommended though, as I said I'm just lazy lol.

I've broke a whole bunch of strings in 10 years of playing.

I'm trying to obtain these tunes/style by Sonic Mayhem out of my current gear. I have no clue what to set my amp & pedal to. I have the tabs which include the correct tuning to use.

Current gear: Squier Strat / Fender Mustang V2 / Metal Core ML-2 ( I know.. basic stuff )

I realize that a guitar/amp upgrade would greatly improve.. everything.
