Hey guys, I've been searching around and hearing this new genre of music. You guys familiar with it? I think it's awesome, almost like it's Guthrie inspired with a heavy edge to it.

Anyways, I would say I am an advanced guitar player. The problem is, I can't create music because I lack theory. I can make up little tunes and play what I hear on the guitar, but I want to learn theory to be able to compose music like these guys.

Any of you experts out there got a good program I can follow to start composing? I have some general theory down already, but really looking for help on advancing as a musician rather a "guitar player".
