A friend of mine is an up and coming hip hop artist and I want to help him get out in the scene/let him know how to improve. Any feedback on his music would be appreciated.

Mixing:

- Turn the stereo lines(his support vocals, a tad down by 20%)
- Throw on a support(Power) vocal on the rhymes, mix them to the center. and throw on analog delay.
- EQ & Compressor, The Chorus seperately so the chorus get's a more "uplifting" feeling on the chorus.

Rap Vocals:

- Increase the punches on the rhyme delivery.
- Hold the "pitches" for a split second longer(like "hooold" "controool" me "tiight") (This will increase the fluency of the Rap.

All in all, a very wellcomposed song, way above the average musician in the rap game.
His Vocals sound sincere and real, not actin tough or anything. And I like his flow and the beat.

Just my 5cents.

That collection was dope but the rap could have used more clarity.
