Has anyone else bought this? I've had it for about two weeks now and I can already see the improvement from starting from scratch. Instead of buying the guitar bundle I bought my friend's Schecter c1 Elite with the sexy amber finish, I swapped out the stock pick ups for a pair of emg 81/83s. What are some opinions on the game?

How much you pay for the guitar?

And I have also not played rocksmith, but I don't believe in playing an instrument game without a real instrument (although I hear Rocksmith is the first game that can actually develop skills)

Actually, Rocksmith is played using a real guitar.

Haven't played it myself, but been thinking of getting it. I've heard it's pretty neat.

Ahh my bad, but I still would rather play guitar myself than play a guitar game.

TotalGuitar and UltimateGuitar both praised it for helping with technique and co-ordination.

I paid 450(pricey I know) but my friend changed out the pickups, restrung it and gave me a gigbag with some extra strings, picks and some odds and ends with it so I feel like I got a pretty good deal.
I started from scratch and for the past couple of nights I've been able to sit down and play some decent freehand blues with it so I feel as though I got my money's worth for the game and cable.

I think you may have overpaid unless it included a hard case or had been customized. Still, thats a pretty awesome guitar. I'm looking for my final one for my collection, a proper shredder metal guitar - locking nut, floyd rose, emgz - the shiznit.
