Does anyone have any recommendations for some good casual earbuds? The Apple ones keep having one ear that dies out while the other still works and it's pissing me off.

I'm not looking for those "buttons" thing that you insert into your canal and with an integrated mic preferably.

For the budget, let's say ~$50

sennheiser cx150

very quality earbud, better sound than some $200+ headphones/earbuds I've listened to before, stays in the ear, looks good, built to last.
can find them as low as $30 , usually $50 though

Yes, sennheiser is quality, and that's what you want.

Brands like dr. dre beats and apple is not signalising quality.

my vote goes to sennheisers cx150 too, they are really good for the price, but obviously total crap if you compare them to buds that cost like 150$+ and are good for that price. i have tested quite many ear buds in the price range of the sennheisers and higher price ranges and i think the sennheisers while not costing much are in par with many in the 100$ price range. but when you compare the sennheisers(or something in the price range of 100$) to the buds im using atm(ue superFi 5 pro) which cost me 160€, sennheisers cant compare in any respect and sound like total crap(as do other shit you find for cheap). but obviously since you are looking good enough for most and cheap, and not quality, sennheisers are the best for that.

Agreed, they just need to be replaced every 2-3 months :\. More or less same issues with Apple ear buds, usually one ear bud stops playing.

If you can dish out an extra $50-$75 (I know it's a steep price difference) and get a pair of Bose they will last much longer. Have been using the same pair (daily, I commute a lot and am very reliant on music) for about two years with no issues.

Don't have an iPhone, I got them from a buddy. And even then, that's like my 3rd pair in 1-2 years. Starting to get tired of their bullshit.

price doesent automatically make the buds last longer. better get buds with replaceable cord and you can use them much much longer, as usually its the cord that gets broken(from the plug end). i have been using my buds for around 5 years(almost daily and sometimes like 7 hours a day, but usually around 2 hours), no problem except that i had to replace the cord few times(or sometimes just repairing the old one with new plug). basically over the 5 years i have spent 160€ on the buds itself and bought 3 replace cords = 220€. lets say decent age for normal buds in my use would be around 1 year, that 220€ would buy me 44€ ear buds a year, which would be pretty much the price of those sennheisers(but they seem quite fragile, so they might not even last a year). so im spending as much money over time and getting much higher quality in every respect by spending a bit more on the ear buds at start, than buying those sennheisers once a year.
