sounds really 90's

Glad you notice it, I've tried to give it that 90's touch with a lot of reverb, and heay delay on the backup vocals, and an energetic pac flow mixed with my own style.
Also as I rap"I brought back cali to it's laidback sound - now it's gone, it's all I want"

I dont like rap but i think you need to use a stronger voice or a better filter on your voice.
It sounds like your trying to be quiet on a laptop microphone.
If you want to try to make money off it you need to infuse pop. Take macklemore as an example.
Just my thoughts there ^
But my only issue is the voice/voice quality.

Hmm, So turn up the vocals a lot so it stands out?
And increase vocal quality, is in my voice is the problem or as in the mixing of the voice makes it sound "dull" and dampen?

what made it worst is the photo of you in the soundcloud if thats you i couldnt imagine me being able to take you serious with the voice your putting on to what you look like rofl

song aint bad, though, although i also dont like rap. i dont think the vocals are too bad, but it seemed like they just cut out at about 1:00. needs a better vocal transition there.
