hard to just pick just 1, more options that would have been nice to
-more contours
-all access cut out (neck pocket and horns)
-removing headstock and getting Steinberg bridge and nut.(would look crazy)
-acoustic bridge instead of standard style (bone not plastic, just so its clear)
-changing surface finish (into woodstain, holofoil, new paint job, pictures, fabric)

Modifying guitars really depends on both the current setup of the guitar and what I want to do with it. The hardware switch I'm most inclined to on most guitars is changing the tuners for something better and more stable, though my main guitar came with good tuners. Part of the reason I bought my main guitar (old ESP LTD) is because the hardware/build was exactly what I wanted and I wouldn't need to change it.
