I've recently purchased a keyboard (not Piano) and looking to get playing as a long term hobby, anyone recommend some beginner pieces to learn?

I've learnt several beginnings but struggle quite bad when you have to add the basses in (left hand).

any help would be grateful.

In The End - Linkin Park
Clocks - Coldplay

Just try to learn all coldplay. Pretty easy but teaches your movement and placement.

LP & coldplay, like seriously?

If you're motivated and know what kind of music u wanna play, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do in order to help you start from scratch.

it's hard to recommend via distant communication... It all depends on you, what u like, what u wanna play, how long you practise per day etc...
If I were you I'd use a method, some are good, some are bad. if you have friends who play the piano you can ask them how they started and which method they used.
Also, consider taking lessons it would make things faster, with the right teacher.
Also, go for classical, once you can play classical music you can likely play anything else that's written on sheet music! It brings you solid basics.

learn classical first, perfecting technique is essential for a successful music career

... If you look at the notes... It really does help you start to get a hang of things. It's also a more fun way to learn rather than trying to learn classical. Moar optimism plz

Yes classical is "true" skill... But it clearly says "as a hobby," not as a career.
