Should I leave my .09 - .46's on my guitar or put on my .10 - .52's and de-tune my guitar? Bear in mind that I seldom play in E Standard anymore.

another question, what type of strings? steel nickel or brass. pro steels all the way

.10 - .52's are pretty good for drop C

I would also recommend this. I also throw out the idea of Zakk Wylde's 60s - thick and solid for downtuned metalz.

Nickel strings. Just a set of Ernie Ball's.

A set of strings costs $5, change them often and make sure you intonate your guitar.
