Ok, I bought a Focusrite Scarlett just to direct input my guitar into my computer to use it like an amp, and occasionally record some ideas.


I am having a hard time getting sound to come from any program.






What is the best program for me to get that will interface directly and let me just jam and add effects maybe, but also hear it the whole time.



I have Adobe audition 5.5 and ableton live 8.


I can get whatever I need, just don't know what to get.

Reaper. You can get a lot of free VST plugins that work with it, and there's a free version as well as a paid version that's relatively inexpensive, it's worth buying.
